SHALAMAR

Tra la fine degli anni settanta e l'inizio degli ottanta nella trasmissione Soul Train  un gruppo di ballerini  furono messi insieme sotto il nome di Shalamar. Erano: Jody Waltey, Daniel e Garald Brown ma fu con l'aggiunta di Howard Hewett e la maturazione di Waltey che il gruppo ebbe anche un'anima. Fu una creazione di Dick Giffrey l'agente del programma di Don Cornelius e in quel periodo soprattutto grazie alla canzone di questo video il gruppo divenne un punto di riferimento nel panorama della disco music. I 33 giri più importanti (Uptown Festival, Disco Gardens, Big Fun, Three for Love, Go fot It Friends e The Look furono registrati tra il 1978 e il 1983.

In the late seventies and early eighties in the transmission of a group of Soul Train dancers were put together under the name Shalamar. They were: Jody Waltey, Daniel Brown and Garald but it was with the addition of Howard Hewett and maturation of Waltey the group also had a soul. It was designed by Dick Giffrey agent program Don Cornelius and in that period mainly due to the song of this video, the group became a landmark in the landscape of dance music.
